Wheelchair Accessible Campfire Rings and Grills

For some of us the thawing of winter means that outdoor activities can once again commence. Activities like getting out, making a fire, and cooking on a grill. A company out of Cherokee, Iowa called Pilot Rock makes these activities easier for wheelchair users with their wheelchair accessible campfire rings and grills.

The campfire rings are your standard steel ones that you can use plainly or surround with decorative stone. Grill grates are built above the rings and are at a wheelchair accessible height. This makes cooking the food and adjusting the grates all reachable.

Another nice feature on some of the campfire rings is a grilling grate that swivels. Bringing the food to the cook instead of the cook working over the fire.

Stand alone grills are also available where wheelchair users can roll right up and get to cooking!
