UniLift Lower Cabinet Lift

A few months ago I wrote an article on Freedom Lift Systems and their mechanisms that lower upper cabinets. Great products that make upper cabinets accessible and reachable from a wheelchair. Another product they offer is a lift for counter top appliances. UniLift takes these appliances from a lower cabinet and raises them up to counter height level.

Arm Up
UniLift is basically a shelf that’s attached to a mechanical arm. After opening the cabinet door, a button is pushed and the arm slowly lifts up the shelf. When finished another button is pushed to go back into storage. The button controls are corded or remote. Watch the video below to see it in action

Conclusion
My parents were big crock pot users and would always lug it out from a bottom cabinet. Having a device like this would’ve been useful. Other appliances UniLift can get up are blenders, toaster ovens, and food processors. One drawback of UniLift is that it takes up an entire cabinet space. But if the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, then go for it. For more on UniLift and Freedom Lift Systems, visit www.FreedomLiftSystems.com.
