Christen Halter is an industrial designer from Germany who has designed a multi use concept wheelchair. Besides transporting a person from A to B, the wheelchair can convert into a horizontal surface, a stander, a stairlift, or transport chair. Sort of imagine if a Transformer was a wheelchair! The overall style is clean and modern with some minimalism.

Being that the wheelchair is a concept and only exists as a 3D model, there are some missing features to make it practical. Such as brakes, something to keep feet from sliding off, and a way to keep bodies from falling off while in the laying position. Again this is a concept so it’s more about the potential ideas and not practicality. The transformative ability of the wheelchair is intriguing and one with potential.
