The majority of grab bars that we come across in public restrooms are the plain steel type. Maybe the establishment will go fancy with a chrome finish or textured surface. Which has of course has led to a yearning for grab bars that have some more thought behind the style. Now a search of grab bars can lead to grab bars in many many different colors, finishes, and shapes. These Evolution grab bars (rails) by Easa fit that new designer description while adding functional features.

A Better Grip
The most noticeable feature of the Evolution grab bars is the wavy or ribbed bar shape. This shape can make for a better grip by conforming to the hand more naturally. A textured finish on the ribbed section adds even more grip security. A shiny chrome finish covers the rest of the grab bar. The ends have a slight taper and flanges cover the mounting screws.

Sizes and Conclusion
The Evolution grab bars have been tested to withstand 352 lbs or 160 kg. Approximate lengths come in 11 3/4 inches (300 mm), 17 3/4 inches (450 mm), and 23 1/2 inches (600 mm). The diameter is 1 1/3 inches (35 mm). Since these grab bars are from a European company that uses metric, they would not meet ADA standards.
