When it comes to roll in showers, one of the most common questions I get is “How is the water kept in the shower and away from the rest of the bathroom?” For my projects there are 3 ways water is kept in. First the shower floor is sloped to the drain. Then a collapsible water retaining strip is placed at the edge. Finally a weighted shower curtain is installed. Weights at the bottom of the shower curtain keep it from being blown out from water coming out of the shower head or hand held shower. However, especially in smaller showers, water can still find its way outside the shower area. Depending on the situation and right bathroom setup, these half shower walls and doors by Easa could be a solution.

The Parts
These shower enclosures by Easa are part of their Evolution Collection. The walls and doors are meant to keep from worrying about water flowing out while still allowing for an accessible path into the shower. Installed along the open sides of a roll in shower, the walls go at each end while the doors meet in the center or corner. Everything is metal framed with clear or frosted glass. Doors are kept closed with magnetic strips and a locking mechanism.

Functions
Height of the walls and doors are kept to about 30 inches to allow a second person to assist. This would be much more difficult to do with just a shower curtain in a smaller shower. Although shower curtains are available to be used in conjunction with the walls and doors.

Considerations
Before installing the Evolution Collection in a bathroom there are some things to consider. Make sure there’s enough space for the doors to open and to maneuver in and out of the shower. If using the shower alone, you’ll also have to make sure that you can operate the doors on your own.
